Tebe Melge
The Guji Region in south Ethiopia is known the world over for growing some of the most complex and beautiful coffees; and rightly so as Ethiopia is the birthplace of that drink we all love(coffee)! With high altitudes and large forested areas, this region has the conditions that allow for coffee plants to thrive and produce their best work.
Tebe Melge is an absoulte stunner, grown and picked by the smallholders of the community of the same name. Tebe Melge is delivering a taste that we liken to the classic Nova Scotia Dessert: Blueberry Grunt! We get a big presence in the cup, creamy and overflowing with fruit and florality.
This is a natural processed coffee, so cherry's are left intact after picking and dried on raised beds for 7-8 days. This style is classic to Ethiopia, and though many replicate the process in other regions, no one does it quite like they do!
