La Resistencia Decaf, Mataquescuintla, Guatemala
We're so excited to bring in decaf from the members of the Cafe Colis Resistencia producer group. This coffee comes from many smallholders around the Mataquescuintla Area. It is decaffeinated in Burnaby, British Colombia using the Swiss Water method.
Doing decaf community lots means that Semilla can buy even more coffee from more community members, blending smaller micro-lots from new producers that are too small to export on their own with excess poundage from veteran producers. Community focused coffee in action!

If you're interested in learning more about the resistance work happening in Guatemala against the Canadian owned Silver Mine operating illegally on their indigenous lands, I'd suggest heading over to Semilla's Website and reading through their Guatemala page. They also post a wealth of information and stories on their instagram.
